Boutique® Whitening offers two convenient treatment options: Boutique® by Day and Boutique® by Night for results you can visibly see within 7-14 days.
Boutique® by Day uses a pH neutral, 6% hydrogen peroxide formula which contains the desensitiser, potassium nitrate. This formula is designed for patients who want to wear their trays for a shorter period and who grind their teeth at night. The trays are worn for one hour a day for 2 weeks.
Boutique® by Night uses a gel containing 10% or 16% carbamide peroxide that contains potassium nitrate, a proven desensitiser. This gel is designed for patients who prefer to whiten their teeth overnight for a minimum of 4-6 hours.
Teeth-whitening trays look like a mouthguard. Your dentist will take an impression of your teeth and send it to a dental lab to fabricate your bespoke trays. This ensures a perfect fit so that the whitening gel can be administered effectively.
In a small number of cases, patients may experience some tooth sensitivity to cold during or after the treatment. The symptoms are usually temporary and subside after a few days of completing the treatment.
Teeth-whitening is not permanent. It can last for a few months or as long as 3 years. The duration depends on your lifestyle and diet. Your tooth enamel is porous so pigmented and dyed food and beverages and tobacco can stain your teeth.
